2017 Week 2 NFL Power Rankings and Picks
A proprietary algorithm that determines an NFL team’s ability to win and score points is built into every Football Weblog cheatsheet. It turns out this algorithm is also proving to be a great approach to creating an NFL Power Ranking. The most exciting part of it for me is that the algorithm results are pure calculation. Any personal bias I may have for a particular team is precluded, and the calculations inevitably result in surprises.
In order to showcase the accuracy of this system, I’m laying bare the results for you and others to see. And though these calculations do not take into account the myriad factors that go into professional football handicapping, I’ve even decided to use the results to see how they compare against Las Vegas odds.
