Running to Daylight

The truth is, I haven’t been able to work on this website the way I’ve wanted for years. Life had other plans.
In recent years, especially since 2018, my work hours shifted, my older brother’s declining health called for my support, and I took on added responsibilities with a local non-profit. While those commitments were important and worthwhile, they left little time for myself or this site.
And yet, through all of it, I’m proud to say that Football Weblog never went dark. Even when my plate was full, I kept the basics alive, publishing the One Page Printable Schedules, updating the Standings, and keeping scores current. It wasn’t everything I wanted to do, but it was enough to keep this place moving forward. Thank you for sticking with me through these lean years, it means a lot.
Now, things are starting to change. I retired on September 2, and since then I’ve been tying up long-delayed projects and clearing the backlog that accumulated over the years. For the first time in a long while, I finally have some free time and can devote more energy to this website.
Moving forward, I hope to bring more content, better quality, and more frequent updates. I can finally give this site the attention it deserves, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s possible.
I’m excited for what’s ahead, and I hope you’ll join me on this run. A new day is rising, and with some extra time finally on my side, I plan to make the most of it.
As always, run to daylight!
